Freedom Ride

The 2026 Freedom Ride is set for 7/10 - 7/12, expanded this year to a two-nighter. We will be heading north and visiting the Kisselgoff Motorcycle Museum in Thunder Bay, Canada.

We have 12 rooms being held under MN WINGS at Grand Portage Lodge and Casino for both nights. Please make your reservations ASAP if you are planning on joining the ride.

We will plan on dinner at the Island View restaurant at the casino both nights, Saturday is indicated as a buffet on the web site.

Current plan is an 8:30 ride start from my house in Scadia again. Lynn will have breakfast ready (more details later) for those that want to show up early.

Be prepared for a couple of longer than usual riding days to get up and back on Friday and Sunday. We will ride into Canada Saturday, go to the museum, and return back the same day with the option of an extended ride in the afternoon up the Gunflint Trail. You will need an appropriate ID to cross the border. As far as I can see, the cost for the museum is $20 for adults and $15 for seniors.

Please let me know ASAP if you are planning on joining the ride and if you will be coming for breakfast so I can get a headcount and start looking for fuel and for food stops. Make your reservations early.
